About City

Abu Dhabi , the second most populous city of the United Arab Emirates and also capital of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the largest of the UAE's seven emirates; lies on a T-shaped island jutting into the Persian Gulf from the central western coast. The rapid development and urbanization along with the relatively high average income of its population has transformed Abu Dhabi city into large metropolis. The city is a major cultural and commercial Centre and also the country's Centre of political and industrial activities due to its position as the capital.

Abu Dhabi accounts for majority of UAE’s large hydrocarbon wealth around 95% of the oil and 92% of gas thus holding 9% of the world’s proven oil reserves (98.2bn barrels) and almost 5% of the world’s natural gas (5.8 billion cubic metres or 200 billion cubic feet) making about two-thirds of the roughly $400-billion United Arab Emirates economy. The city holds several tourist attractions too like Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Mary, Mother of Jesus Mosque, Emirates Palace, Etihad Towers and may others.

Health and Education along with transportation are major advances thoroughly researched and progressed at Abu Dhabi.  Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) is the second busiest airport in the UAE and city's main aviation hub. Public transport systems in Abu Dhabi include the Abu Dhabi public buses, taxis, ferries, and airplanes. Cardiology, Diabetes, Dental medicine and Immunology research have advanced vastly at Abu Dhabi research institutes, hospitals and universities.
